Dentistry of Uptown Charlotte was founded in 1995 by Dr. Robert Heck, who established the practice with a vision of delivering honest, high-quality dentistry rooted in integrity and long-term patient relationships. A graduate of the UNC Adams School of Dentistry, Dr. Heck spent nearly three decades caring for families throughout Uptown Charlotte, building a practice known for trust, compassion, and clinical excellence.
In April 2022, Dr. Heck retired and passed the practice to Dr. Minka Hotic, also a UNC Adams School of Dentistry graduate. Dr. Hotic shares the same patient-first philosophy and commitment to excellence, while bringing a modern, evidence-based approach to care.
Dr. Hotic is known for her minimally invasive, holistic, and comprehensive style of dentistry. She travels nationally and internationally each year for advanced continuing education in the latest techniques and technologies—so every patient receives care that is both thoughtful and forward-thinking.
